Have read the book and found it to be one of the most accessible and engaging reads about today's Russia and its current political climate.
It is particularly impressive, as it was written by a western journalist/writer, but perhaps that is what makes it more objective than most Russian-authored works on this most widely popular subject in our day and age.
I'd personally be intrigued to see if it this particular opinion is ever, especially in the near future, translated into Russian - it would certainly be an interesting move to ignite the nation's readers' partially healthy interest with regards to current affairs internally and on a global scale.
Looking forward to the follow up to "Putin's Labyrinth" by Steve LeVine - an opinion well worth a read!
Do Georgians (ქართველები, not the folks in and around Atlanta) have a secret plan for world domination through music? Katie Melua is already a top singer in the UK. Meanwhile, Tina looks set to do the same to music charts in the US. And don't discount just as yet Vakhtang Kikabidze who still controls the Russian heart.
Thanks Tinatin. Tim: I have no idea about Katie Melua, but keep us posted. That's an area I don't generally plumb. Best Steve
