Interesting to see that Registan attracts the comments of a former British ambassador to Uzbekistan.

Craig Murray says Europe either becomes a client state of Russia to ensure its energy supplies, or invests heavily in renewables - good news for Scotland? Westminster, for one, may prefer being beholden to Russia.
